Diploma of Hairdressing

This is a two year course designed to provide hairdressing practical knowledge and skills plus supervisory and management training.
Year 1
Certificate III in Hairdressing
The first year of the course provides practical hairdressing skills, including, cutting hair, designing hair style finishes, hair colouring techniques and
methods, hair curling and straightening, co-ordination of salon tasks, and occupational health and safety.
An industry work experience component is included in the course.
Year 2
Certificate IV in Hairdressing and Diploma of
Hairdressing Salon Management
The Certificate IV in Hairdressing builds upon the skills and knowledge gained from the first year of the course. The Certificate IV program includes specialist hair colour, cutting services, hair and scalp treatments
The units at the Diploma level include staff supervision, leadership, customer relations, provision of quality customer service, recruitment and selection of staff, legal and administrative requirements, finances,
budgeting, and business planning.
An industry work experience component is included in
the course.

Australian Year 12 (or recognised
equivalent) or relevant work
experience. IELTS 5.5 or higher (or
recognised equivalents). Mature age.
Course Duration:
2-years.

$12,500 pa
Course Outcomes:
Graduates of this course may gain employment as a hairdresser
or supervisory and management positions within a hairdressing salon.
